TICKETS
Q. Will tickets be assigned first-come, first-serve or is there a lottery?
A. From April 16, 2007 – June 30, 2007 tickets will be available via an Individual Ticket Request Phase. From July 2007 – September 2007 CoSport will run a Ticket Allocation and Confirmation Phase wherein each request will be fulfilled as close to 100% as possible.
Following this Ticket Allocation and Confirmation Phase, CoSport’s remaining individual ticket inventory will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Q. Are there any limitations placed on what I can request/reserve?
A. You will be able to request tickets for as many events as you like, but you can only request up to eight (8) tickets per event and a maximum of 48 total tickets overall. Additionally, there is a quantity limitation for Opening and Closing Ceremony tickets. Customers may only submit a request for two (2) tickets per Ceremony per cumulative Ticket Request.
Q. What is the difference in seat categories: A, B & C?
A. Category refers to the price categories of seating. Category A is categorized by BOCOG as being closest to the field of play and the most expensive. Category B is the next expensive category, and then Category C the next.
Q. Is payment required when I place a Ticket Request?
A. For Ticket Requests, payment in full at the time is not required. CoSport will, however require a valid credit card number, which we will authorize (not charge) for $1 and keep on file until charging the full payment. For countries where other methods of payments are accepted (such as bank check, wire transfer and cash), you will be contacted at the time your tickets are allocated and must provide payment within 3 business days to confirm your Ticket Request.
Q. When will I receive confirmation of my Ticket Request?
A. Once the request/reservation is submitted you will receive a Ticket Request Confirmation letter via email.
Q. Can I cancel my ticket request?
A. Once a Ticket Request is submitted the request is final and non-cancelable for any reason and the amount paid is not refundable. CoSport reserves the right to substitute a lower price category within the same event to fulfill the initial request.
Refunds will only be granted if 40% or less of the initial request is confirmed. In this case, CoSport will contact you to see if you would like to proceed with your allocation or cancel your order. If you wish to cancel, you must do so in writing to CoSport within 5 business days. You will be entitled to a full refund, minus a processing and cancellation fee, varying per country.
Only ticket requests meeting this 40% ratio can be cancelled. All other ticket requests are final and orders are non-cancelable.
Q. My friend placed a Ticket Request Reservation as well. Can we be seated together at the events?
A. For tickets processed within the same request, CoSport will make every effort to have the party seated together. However seat assignments cannot be guaranteed either by location in the venue, nor for members traveling together. For tickets not submitted within the same request, you can request to sit together and we will do our utmost to accommodate your request, however CoSport cannot guarantee its ability to seat the party as such.
